Buffs gained from neutral minions (i.e. blue buff from Golem or red buff from Lizard Elder) will transfer the buff to the champion’s killer and will reset its duration.

Did you know that pressing ALT + the champion skill shortcut key (e.g. Q) will auto-cast the spell to your self. This works only for spells that can be cast on yourself like heal or shield.
