Champions & Updates:

Skarner, The Crystal Vanguard (Release Date: October 26)

  • Crystal Slash

    • Skarner lashes out with his claws, dealing physical damage to all nearby enemies and charging himself with Crystal Energy for several seconds if a unit is struck. If he casts Crystal Slash again while empowered by Crystal Energy, he deals bonus Magic Damage and slows all targets hit.
  • Crystalline Exoskeleton
    • Skarner gains a shield and while the shield persists his movement speed and attack speed are both increased.
  • Fracture
    • Skarner summons a blast of crystalline energy which deals damage to enemies struck and marks them. Any further damage dealt to marked targets by Skarner will allow him to consume the mark to heal himself.
  • Impale (Ultimate)
    • Skarner suppresses an enemy champion and deals magic damage to it. During this time, Skarner can move freely and will drag his helpless victim around with him. When the effect ends, Skarner’s target will be dealt additional damage.
  • Energize (Passive)
    • Basic attacks lower the cooldowns of Skarner’s abilities by 1 second against champions and 0.5 seconds against non-champions.


Talon, the Blade’s Shadow (Release date to be announced)

  • Noxian Diplomacy

    • Talon viciously stabs his enemy, dealing heavy physical damage and causing them to leave a blood trail that Talon can use to track them.
  • Rake
    • Talon fans out three blades in front of him that quickly return to him, dealing damage and slowing any target hit in either direction.
  • Cutthroat
    • Talon leaps behind his target and silences them for a short duration, amplifying the damage of any of his follow up attacks and abilities.
  • Shadow Assault (Ultimate)
    • Talon enters stealth for a short duration, gaining a movement speed boost and sending blades that deal damage to all enemies in their path flying in every direction. Once the blades reach a certain distance, they pause and form a circle. When Talon reappears from stealth, the blades return to him, once again dealing damage to any opponent they pass through.
  • Mercy (Passive)
    • Talon’s auto-attacks deal additional damage to a target that is under the influence of any crowd control effect.


Riven, the Exile (Release date to be announced)

  • Broken Wings
    • Riven steps forward and lashes out in a series of powerful sword slashes. This ability can be activated up to 3 times in a short period.
      • 1st Use/2nd Use: Deals damage to a small area in front of her
      • 3rd Use: Jumps into the air and slams downward, causing a larger impact nova that deals damage and knocks nearby enemies back.
  • Ki Burst
    • Riven damages and stuns nearby enemies.
  • Valor
    • Riven dashes forward and gains a shield for a short duration.
  • Blade of the Exile (Ultimate)
    • Riven’s sword reforms, giving her a percentage multiplier on her total attack damage, extended range on her damaging abilities and basic attacks and the ability to use Wind Slash once.
  • Wind Slash
    • While Blade of the Exile is active, Riven can reactivate the ability to emit a large shockwave that deals damage to all units hit based on their missing life.
  • Runic Blade (Passive)
    • Riven’s abilities charge her blade, causing her to do bonus damage on her next autoattack. Riven can store up to 3 charges, but only expends one at a time.


Xerath, the Magus Ascendant (Release date to be announced)

  • Arcanopulse
    • Fires a long-range beam of energy, dealing magic damage to all targets hit.
  • Locus of Power
    • Xerath anchors himself to a source of magical power, increasing the range of all spells and granting him bonus % Magic Penetration. Although he is immobilized while Locus of Power is active, his movement speed increases upon disabling the ability.
  • Mage Chains
    • Deals magic damage to an enemy and marks them with Unstable Magic. The next spell Xerath strikes this enemy with stuns them.
  • Arcane Barrage
    • Calls down a blast of arcane energy, dealing magic damage to all enemies in an area. May be cast up to three times before going on cooldown.
  • Ascended Form (Innate)
    • Xerath feeds on arcane power, making him increasingly resilient to physical harm. He converts a percentage of his Ability Power into Armor.


Graves, the Outlaw (Release date to be announced)

  • Buckshot
    • Graves fires three bullets in a cone damaging all enemies in the projectiles path. Enemies at close range can be hit by multiple projectiles, but each one beyond the first will deal reduced damage.
  • Smokescreen
    • Graves fires a smoke canister at the target area that deals damage and creates a cloud of smoke. Enemies inside the smoke cloud have reduced sight range and movement speed.
  • Quickdraw
    • Graves dashes forward gaining an attack speed boost for several seconds. Attacking enemies lowers the cooldown of this skill.
  • Collateral Damage (Ultimate)
    • Graves fires an explosive shell dealing heavy damage to the first target it hits. After hitting a champion or reaching the end of its range the shell explodes dealing damage in a cone behind the target.
  • True Grit (Passive)
    • Graves gains increasing armor and magic resistance the longer he remains in combat.


Akali

  • The cooldown before Akali’s next Shadow Dance charge and her current stacks are now shown in the same buff


Alistar

  • Unbreakable Will
    • Duration adjusted to 7 seconds at all ranks from 6/7/8 seconds
    • Physical and Magical Damage reduction reduced to 50/60/70% from 75% at all ranks


Amumu

  • Amumu will now attempt to attack the target after successfully pulling himself to an enemy champion with Bandage Toss


Ashe

  • Fixed a bug where Frost Arrow would consume mana if Ashe canceled her auto-attack early
  • Fixed a bug where Frost Shot was not draining Mana properly


Blitzcrank

  • Mana Barrier
    • Fixed a bug where Mana Barrier could be bypassed if the damage taken would instantly kill him
    • Fixed a bug where Mana Barrier would activate when the cooldown expired even if not taking damage
  • Fixed a bug where Power Fist failed to grant lifesteal effects


Brand

  • Conflagration range reduced to 625 from 675
  • Pillar of Flame damage reduced to 75/120/165/210/255 from 80/125/170/215/260
  • Fixed a bug where Pyroclasm would fizzle if Brand died


Caitlyn

  • Fixed a bug where planting a Yordle Snap Trap after a trap was recently triggered caused a previous trap to be consumed (as if you placed too many)
  • Fixed a bug where Ace in the Hole would fail to reset cooldown if Karthus or Kog’Maw died during its windup


Cho’Gath

  • Adjusted the animation speed of his run while he has stacks of Feast
  • Fixed a bug where Cho’Gath could gain a Feast stack when the target did not die


Corki

  • Gatling Gun:
    • Now has a base damage of 20/32/44/56/68 per second.
    • Duration has been adjusted to 4 seconds at all levels.
    • Scales with 0.4 bonus Attack Damage ratio per second, from 0.4 total Attack Damage ratio per second.
  • The cooldown before Corki’s next Missile Barrage charge and his current stacks are now shown in the same buff


Evelynn

  • Fixed a bug where Malice and Spite was healing for incorrect values
  • Fixed a bug where Malice and Spite’s cooldown would be reset upon killing enemy clones


Ezreal

  • Essence Flux will now break spell shields


FiddleSticks

  • Basic attack projectile speed increased to 1750 from 1500
  • Dark Wind
    • Damage reduced to 65/85/105/125/145 from 65/90/115/140/165
    • Fixed a bug where Dark Wind would fizzle when Fiddlesticks died
    • Fixed a bug where Dark Wind was bouncing 4 times instead of 5
    • Drain ability power ratio reduced to .45 from .5
  • Terrify cooldown increased to 15/14/13/12/11 seconds from 14/13/12/11/10 seconds


Gangplank

  • Raise Morale:
    • Active self movement speed bonus reduced to 8/11/14/17/20% from 10/14/18/22/26%.
    • Active self attack damage bonus reduced to 12/19/26/33/40 from 14/22/30/38/46.
  • Grog Soaked Blade max stacks has been reduced to 3 from 4
  • Cannon Barrage
    • Fixed a bug where Cannon Barrage would not grant gold on minion kills
    • Fixed a bug where Cannon Barrage’s slow was not always applying consistently


Garen

  • Decisive Strike
    • Movement speed duration increased to 4 seconds from 3 seconds
    • Attack damage ratio decreased to 1.4 from 1.5
  • Judgment cooldown reduced to 13/12/11/10/9 seconds from 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
  • Courage maximum armor and magic resistance now 25 at all ranks from 5/10/15/20/25


Heimerdinger

  • H28G Evolution Turret
    • Heimerdinger will now place Frost Turrets if he places a turret while UPGRADE!!! is active
    • Fixed a bug where turrets could be moved by Crystallize, Pillar of Filth, and Cataclysm


Irelia

  • Irelia will now attempt to attack the target after dashing to an enemy champion with Bladesurge


Jarvan IV

  • Cataclysm
    • Jarvan will no longer follow the target while he is in the air during Cataclysm
    • Cataclysm will now create the ring of terrain regardless of whether the enemy can be targeted or not
    • Cataclysm will now be slightly more likely to push targets that the ring lands on into the center rather than out
    • Fixed a bug where Cataclysm could be interrupted by movement displacing abilities such as Crystallize or Pillar of Filth
    • Added a targeting ring to Cataclysm
    • Fixed a bug where Cataclysm was dealing less damage than intended at rank 2 and 3
  • Fixed an issue where certain skins had inconsistent model sizes
  • Fixed a bug where Dragon Strike reduced the target’s base armor rather than total armor


Jax

  • Leap Strike damage reduced to 20/45/70/95/120 from 35/60/85/110/135
  • Empower
    • Damage reduced to 60/95/130/165/200 from 75/110/135/180/215
    • Empower now breaks spell shields
  • Jax will now attempt to attack after Leap Striking if the target is an enemy champion
  • Fixed a bug where Jax’s attacks could not be dodged


Karma

  • The cooldown before Karma’s next Mantra charge and her current stacks are now shown in the same buff
  • Fixed a bug where using a summoner spell would sometimes consume Karma’s mantra charge


Kassadin

  • Void Stone magic damage reduction increased to 15% from 10%
  • Null Sphere missile speed increased to 1400 from 1150
  • Nether Blade base damage increased to 30/45/60/75/90 from 20/30/40/50/60


Karthus

  • Fixed a bug where Requiem would sometimes not finish channeling when cast during Death Defied.


Katarina

  • Katarina will now attempt to attack the target after teleporting to an enemy champion with Shunpo

  • Attack damage per level increased to 2.8 from 2.5
  • Attack speed per level increased to 2.5 from 2
  • Reckoning
    • Now scales with bonus attack damage at a 1.0 ratio in addition to a 1.0 ability power ratio

    • Energy cost adjusted to 100/95/90/85/80 from 100 at all levels
    • Ability power ratio increased to .6 from .55


Kog’Maw

  • Updated Living Artillery’s reveal particle effect
  • Bio-Arcane Barrage: duration reduced to 8 seconds from 10.

  • Fixed a bug where Ethereal Chains would not root Master Yi during Highlander.


Lee Sin

  • Sonic Wave:
    • Cooldown increased to 11/10/9/8/7 from 10/9/8/7/6.
    • Attack damage scaling reduced to 90% from 100%.
  • Safeguard:

    • Range reduced to 700 from 750.
  • Lee Sin will now attempt to attack the target after dashing to a champion with Resonating Strike
  • Resonating Strike will now only automatically attempt to attack champions rather than all enemies


Leona

  • Recommended items updated to include Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Trinity Force
  • Shield of Daybreak cooldown reduced to 11/10/9/8/7 seconds from 12/11/10/9/8 seconds
  • Zenith Blade
    • Mana cost reduce to 60 at all ranks from 60/65/70/75/80
    • Particle adjusted to more accurately reflect the area of effect (actual area of effect unchanged)
    • Leona will now attempt to attack the target if she uses Zenith Blade to jump to a target
  • Solar Flare cooldown reduced to 90/75/60 seconds from 105/90/75 seconds
  • Fixed a bug where Eclipse would break enemy spell shields on activation


Lux

  • Updated Lux’s autoattack to feel more responsive and increased its missile speed
  • Light Binding cooldown reduced to 15/14/13/12/11 seconds from 16/15/14/13/12 seconds


Malphite

  • Brutal Strikes
    • Mana cost reduced to 50/55/60/65/70 from 55/60/65/70/75
    • Radius increased to 400 from 350
    • Modified the shape and range of its passive splash component.
    • Added a visual indicator on targets hit by the passive splash damage.
  • Fixed a bug where Unstoppable Force sometimes failed to pass through Crystallize, Pillar of Filth, and Cataclysm
  • Fixed a bug where the armor value in the tooltip was not rounding


Malzahar

  • Fixed a bug where Call of the Void would not finish casting if Malzahar died.
  • Nether Grasp:
    • Fixed a bug where it couldn’t break with distance.
    • It will now stop channeling if the target becomes a ghost.


Maokai

  • Maokai will now attempt to attack after using Twisted Advance if the target is a champion


Master Yi

  • Alpha Strike
    • Master Yi can now use Wuju Style and Highlander while Alpha Strike is active
    • Master Yi will now attempt to attack the target after using Alpha Strike to teleport to a champion
  • New auto-attack animation.


Miss Fortune

  • Bullet Time now scales with both attack damage and ability power, instead of just the higher of the two.


Mordekaiser

  • Iron Man
    • Shield regeneration adjusted to 30% at all levels from 25/27.5/30%
    • Shield regeneration is now half effective versus minions
  • Mace of Spades bonus damage reduced to 65% from 75%
  • Siphon of destruction no longer adds additional shield for each unit hit
  • Creeping Death now properly gives assists.
  • Fixed a bug where Mace of Spades was providing the diminished Spell Vamp effect even if used against a single target
  • Fixed a bug where Children of the Grave would fail to clone targets if they were nontargetable when they died (Sanguine Pool, Alpha Strike, etc)

Nasus

  • Attack range increased to 125 from 110
  • Soul Eater lifesteal increased at earlier levels to 14/17/20% from 10/15/20%
  • Wither
    • Cooldown reduced to 15/14/13/12/11 seconds from 15 seconds at all ranks
    • Mana cost reduced to 80 from 100
    • Wither will now reach its max slow even if its duration is reduced (ie: by tenacity)
  • Spirit Fire
    • No longer has a 0.5 second delay before taking effect
    • Now deals half of its damage initially and the other half over the duration — initial 55/95/135/175/215 (+0.6 ability power) Magic Damage and 11/19/27/35/43 (+0.12 ability power) Magic Damage each second for the next 5 seconds
  • Fixed a bug where Siphoning Strike sometimes gained extra lifesteal


Nidalee

  • Javelin Toss
    • Mana Cost reduced to 50/60/70/80/90 from 60/70/80/90/100
    • Cooldown reduced to 6 seconds from 7 seconds
  • Primal Surge
    • Mana cost adjusted to 60/80/100/120/140 from 65/70/75/80/85

    • Jump channel time reduced to 2 seconds from 3 seconds

    • Edge damage increased to 50% from 33%


Poppy

  • Heroic Charge
    • Fixed a bug where movement commands before the initial collision could prevent the second part of the spell from occurring
    • Fixed a bug where Poppy would not attack the correct target after using Heroic Charge


Rammus

  • Damage per level increased to 3.5 from 2.75
  • Rammus can now immediately switch between Defensive Ball Curl and Powerball
  • Defensive Ball Curl
    • Magic damage return adjusted to 20/30/40/50/60 from 22/26/32/38/46
    • Cast time removed
    • Now correctly displays the armor amount in the tooltip when defensive ball curl is active
  • Fixed a bug where recommended items would not display for Rammus.


Renekton

  • Fixed a bug where Slice and Dice was only reducing the target’s base armor rather than total armor


Riven

  • Broken Wings:
    • Now counts as an attack command when you use it to lock-onto a target.
    • Slightly extended duration of collision ignoring with minions after using this ability.
  • Ki Burst stun increased to 0.75 from 0.5.


Rumble

  • Fixed a bug where The Equalizer would fizzle if Rumble died


Shaco

  • Base health increased to 525 from 501.
  • Base mana increased to 270 from 250.
  • Health per level increased to 84 from 80.
  • Jack-in-the-Box
    • Boxes are now immune to damage while stealthed if the source cannot see them
    • Jack in the Box trigger radius reduced to 325 from 400 to mitigate cases where it fears targets and they run out of range, rendering the Box unable to attack
    • Jack-in-the-Boxes can no longer be disabled or pushed by effects like Crystallize
    • Fixed a bug where Jack in the Boxes could be seen by stealthed enemies
    • Fixed a bug where Jack in the Boxes could be seen in brush or through fog of war while not stealthed if an enemy was nearby
    • Fixed a bug where Jack in the Boxes would sometimes stop attacking targets if they both were in brush
    • Fixed a bug where Jack in the Boxes could activate but fail to fear targets moving near the edge of its range
    • Fixed a bug where turrets would always attack Jack in the Boxes first
    • Improved Jack in the Box AI
    • Boxes will hard lock onto the closest champion that has damaged Shaco recently, or that Shaco has damaged
    • Boxes will soft lock onto other non-neutral-monsters they attack (they will prefer to keep attacking that target)
    • We plan more Box AI improvements in the future!

    • Base damage increased to 57.875 from 56.875
    • Damage per level increased to 3.375 from 3.075
    • Base armor increased to 23 from 22
  • Vorpal Blade
    • Base damage increased to 70/115/140/175/210 from 50/90/130/170/210
    • Heal increased to 18/26/34/42/50 from 10/20/30/40/50 (over 3 seconds)
    • Damage ability power ratio increased to 0.75 from 0.65
    • Heal amount no longer increases with ability power
  • Feint ability power ratio increased to 0.75 from 0.6

    • Ability power ratio increased to 1.5 from 1.0

  • Poison Trail: linger time reduced to 3.25 from 3.5.
  • Insanity Potion crowd control reduction lowered to 10/15/20% from 10/20/30%.


Sion

  • Base Mana increased to 240 from 200
  • Mana per level increased to 40 from 25
  • Base Attack Speed increased to .625 from .591
  • Base Movement Speed increased to 320 from 315
  • Now gains 1.25 Magic Resist per level
  • Fixed a bug where Enrage’s Health cost was being subtracted at the wrong time, causing health drain from things like Sunfire Cape
  • Fixed a bug where Enrage would consume health if Sion canceled his auto-attack early


Skarner

  • Attack speed per level increased to 2.1% from 1.44%

  • Fixed a bug where Infinite Duress could sometimes break early even if not interrupted


Wukong

  • Wukong will now attempt to attack a target champion after using Nimbus Strike

  • Wukong is now properly considered melee for items and spells that differentiate between melee and ranged characters.
  • Fixed a bug where Crushing Blow was shredding the target’s base armor rather than total armor
